Herrick, Robert,
The End of Desire.
NY, Farrar & Rinehart, (1912). Little & Ives. G. "Whence arises the sudden passion of a man for a woman? Least of all from sensuality only; but when a man finds weakness, need. of help, and high spirits, all united in the same creture, he suffers a sort of overflowing of the soul, and is touched and offended at the same moment. At this point arises the source of great love. The Chastest utterance I ever heard: 'Dans le veritable amour c'est l'ame qui envelope le corps.'" Green binding, sunned at spine and edges. gilt lettering rubbed.
